Artist Statement

During this assignment I found many struggles. This was my first time working with this software and I found many difficulties when learning how to use the different tools and perfect them when I was. However, as I continued using the software and became more comfortable with it on my own, I was able to complete images faster and more efficiently. My least favorite images are the first three photoshopped images, and the “Live Tonight” illustrator image. I disliked these the most because they show the amount of skill and efficiently I took to create them, therefore they do not portray my best work. I believe my best work was shown when completing the GIFs. When I was first starting out on the GIFs on photoshop I was having difficulty switching between layers and allowing certain ones to appear in different frames. I liked the amount of color that I used in the images and thought that I was able to portray the center focus of each image well. Overall this first project was very enjoyable and allowed me to overcome setbacks.
